Authors: Karunakaran, C; Latha, K; Venkataramanan, R; Velan, S Senthil
Abstract: Oxidation of 2-propanol by twelve chromium(VI)
reagents exhibit identical kinetic behaviour; first order in chromium(VI) and alcohol,
second order in H+ and inhibited by Mn(II). The activation free energies
do not differ significantly. Also, the energy of activation correlates with the
logarithm o f frequency factor and so is the enthalpy of activation with the entropy
of activation.

Authors: Hajipour, Abdol R; Mallakpour, Shadpour E; Zolfigol, Mohammad A; Adibi, H
Abstract: Treatment of urazoles with potassium permanganate leads to a simple and mild oxidation reaction, which produces triazolinediones. The reaction is conducted under solvent-free conditions and triazoline diones can be isolated in good to high yields by a simple work-up procedure. The reaction with alumina-supported permanganate enhances the rate and yield.
