&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;view is presented that Library Schools&#xD;
aim at training professional personnel grounded in the fundamental principles&#xD;
and processes common to all types of libraries and all phases of library&#xD;
service. The study focuses 011 &lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;the&#xD;
historical development of the Library School in Ghana, its programmes, admission&#xD;
requirements, areas of specialization and training facilities. Recommendations&#xD;
are made for changes in the curriculum in order to meet the complex nature of&#xD;
information provision in the modem society.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa;="" mso-bidi-font-style:italic"="" lang="EN-US"&gt;The study identifies 1,055 authors cited 1,376 times&#xD;
in the zoological theses submitted to the Ibadan University, Nigeria between&#xD;
1970 and &lt;span style="font-size:12.0pt;line-height:115%;&#xD;
font-family:" times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-US"&gt;1975.&#xD;
&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;The graph of R (n) against log n&#xD;
conforms entirely with the linear ideal of the Bradford-Zipf bibliograph. Core&#xD;
authors comprise 154 &lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;authors&#xD;
who were cited at least two times each. The core authors together were cited&#xD;
above 35 &lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;per cent of all&#xD;
citations. P.S. Corbet, the most cited author in the theses, was cited 14&#xD;
&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;times. Other Bradford's&#xD;
parameters for authors/citations relationship are determined and discussed.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;

the patterns of library visits, library traffic, user-movement and length of&#xD;
stay of the Indian space technologists (IST) as users of their primary library&#xD;
at ISRO Satellite Centre (ISA&lt;span style="font-size:12.0pt;&#xD;
line-height:115%;font-family:" times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-US"&gt;C).&#xD;
&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;The study depicts the relative use of&#xD;
different service areas of the library, the in-house use of library documents&#xD;
and the intensity of use of the library by the IST. It is concluded that there is&#xD;
&lt;span style="mso-bidi-font-style:italic"&gt;a total lack of studies of physical&#xD;
interactions of users with the library though knowledge from such studies of&#xD;
real time interactions and behaviour of users helps in planning and evaluating&#xD;
physical layouts of the library and understanding information seeking behaviour&#xD;
of the users.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/span&gt;
