The schedules of the UDC have been designed to represent the true subject content of the documents. The U D C has come a long way since 1937 when the first English edition was published. Since then it has undergone many revisions; the latest being the 1985 edition. An attempt has been made, to review this edition exhaustively and to bring out its salient features. The review is based on the practical use of 1964 English edition and 1985 English medium edition. Title: Literature of archaeological anthropology: A citation analysis Authors: Aravinda, P; Reddy, V Pulla Abstract: Analysis of 1215 references cited in the review articles of Archaeological Anthropology published in Annual Review of Anthropology during the years 1980-82 reveals that most of the Archaeological Anthropology literature (57.78%) is published in the form of books and the remaining in other bibliographic forms. It also reveals that single author citations are more compared to two-author, three-author and more than-three-author citations. A ranked list of cited journals indicates that the literature in the field of Archaeological Anthropology has been scattered in 82 periodicals. However, most of the research (52.18%) is published in seven periodicals. The periodical American Antiquity gets first rank for publishing most of the research work. Page(s): 85-90
