thermoplastics and its effect on the tensile strength of the composite

degree of adhesion of glass fibres to the polymer matrix. It has been found
that good adhesion of glass fibre to nylon-6 in comparison to polypropylene and
acrylonitrile butadiene styrene plastics results in better tensile strength
behaviour of the composite materials.

The rate of protonation of azomethine dyes is slower than that of thiazole azo
dyes; therefore, the rate constants of azomethine dyes were evaluated. The
order of protonation is 1.5.

at 20, 40, 65, 80 and 96% relative humidities (RH). From the data obtained, a
regression formula has been worked out, so that the bundle tenacity at the
standard RH of 65% can be estimated from the tenacity determined at any ambient
condition. The tenacity is, in general, found to decrease at the rate of about
0.5% of its value extrapolated to 0%, RH for every unit rise in RH%. When the
effect of weight increase due to moisture sorption is eliminated from the
observed tenacity, the above rate is found to decrease to about 0.3%.
