Abstract: This article is devoted to the synthesis and sorption properties of a new polymer sorbent (FD-EXG) based on
o-phenylenediamine and epichlorohydrin, which separates metal ions from solutions with high precision. In the process of
synthesis, the starting materials: o-phenylenediamine and epichlorohydrin are taken in a 1:2 mol ratio. Ethylenediamine is
used as a polymerizing and binding agent. The composition, physicochemical and sorption-desorption properties of the
obtained polymer sorbent have been studied. In the IR spectrum analysis of the sorbent, we can see the presence of n(OH)
functional groups in the 3371 cm–1 and 3313 cm–1 and n(NH) ion exchange functional groups in the 1558 cm–1 region.
Based on X-ray phase analysis methods, the degree of crystallization of the obtained sorbent and its compound with metal
cation (Ni(II)) has been determined. Also, the morphology and thermal properties of the obtained sorbent have been studied
using SEM analysis and TGA and DTA analysis methods. The surface area and the pore size of the polymer sorbent have
been determined, and its morphology has been determined to be macroporous. It has been proven that the synthesized
polymer sorbent can be reused many times during the sorption process. It is proved that the obtained polymer sorbent can
efficiently remove Ni(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The static exchange capacity (SEC)
of the obtained polymer sorbent has been determined to be SECNi=9.67, SECCo=8.33, SECCu=7.01, SECZn=6.67 and
SECCd=5.01. It has been proven that the static exchange capacity is

Abstract: In an effort to protect plants from fungal diseases and to enhance the stability of the strobilurin fungicides, we report
herein, an efficient and simple approach for the synthesis of strobilurin fungicide analogues. The synthesised compounds
were characterised by IR, NMR and LC-MS spectroscopic techniques. The antifungal efficacies of the synthesised
compounds were tested against plant pathogens namely Curvularialunata, Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotium rolfsii by
using poison food/pour plate and spore germination methods. Azoxystrobin and Tebuconazole are used as standards in the
analysis. Further, the synthesized compounds were subjected to in silico studies to know the bonding interactions with
bovine cytochrome Bc1 and CYP51 protein of cytochrome 450.

Authors: Shamili, Sriramoju
Abstract: Transition metal ion complexes that include a variety of ligands have distinct biological effects. Schiff bases that
comprise amino acids and azomethine may be used as building blocks for ternary complexes. In an effort to produce a novel
metal(II) complexes, the conventional reflux method has been used to the interaction of two ligands, N-(1-(4-
nitrophenyl)ethylidene)-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-amine as L1, and an amino acid alanine as L2, with freshly produced
cuprous chloride solution in a 1:1:1 molar ratio. The synthesized ligand and metal(II) complexes are characterized using
elemental analysis, molecular weight, magnetic moment, thermal analysis, and spectroscopic techniques. Bacillus subtilis,
Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans have been used as test organisms to evaluate the compounds’ antibacterial activities.
These metal(II) complexes have been observed to have powerful antibacterial and antifungal activities.

Abstract: In continuation of our efforts to develop green synthetic routes for the formation of biologically active quinoxalines, we
report oxidative cyclization of o-phenylenediamine and α-bromo ketones. The efficacy of this reaction is illustrated by the
compatibility with chloro, bromo, nitro, methoxy, furyl, etc. groups. All the new compounds have been characterized by IR,
NMR and elemental analysis. The foremost feature of this methodology is environmentally benign reaction, simple work-up,
mild reaction conditions and less reaction time.
