Title: Efficient and selective deprotection of aryl aldehyde diacetates catalyzed by tin(II) chloride dihydrate
Authors: Baltork, I Mohammadpoor-; Aliyan, H
Abstract: A mild,efficient
and excellent yield method for the selective deprotection of
aryl aldehyde diacetates in the presence
of .phenolic acetate and aliphatic aldehyde diacetate using catalytic
amounts of tin(II) chloride dihydrate (SnCl2.2H2O) is
described.

Title: A facile and convenient method for the preparation of 2-styrylbenzimidazoles
Authors: Dubey, P K; Kumar, Ramesh; Grossert, J S; Hooper, D L
Abstract: Condensation of
o-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride with cinnamic
acids in refluxing ethylene glycol yields the corresponding 2-styrylbenzimidazoles
in excellent yields.

Title: Ladderane-like motifs: Solid state architecture of trans-1,2-diphenyl-lcyclobutene-3,4-diol dinitrate
Authors: Mehta, Goverdhan; Uma, R
Abstract: C2Symmetric
trans-1,2-diphenyl-l-cyclobutene-3,4-diol dinitrate
defines a novel ladderane-Iike motif in the solid
state

through a network of C-H...O interactions between aromatic C-H donor and a weak acceptor like the nitrate ester group.

Title: Chemical composition of the essential oil of Artabotrys odoratissimus
Authors: Garg, S C; Siddiqui, Nafeesa
Abstract: The essential oil
(0.24%) from the leaves of Artabotrys odoratissimus R.Br. has
been analysed by chromatographic, spectroscopic
and chemical methods. Fifteen constituents
(96.13%) have been characterised. The oil has
been found rich in terpinen-4-ol (38.63%),
caryophyllene oxide (11.78%) and linalool (11.17%).
