ILC and half of the requests were found in the articles indexed in MEDLINE
database. The study concludes that the resource sharing through library
documents should be strengthened at local level to achieve cost effective library
services.

communication amongst the library and information scientists and the source
journal is the most cited publication. Bradford's
Law of Scattering is testified with the journal citations and it was found that
23. 13% of total journals could
meet 67% of the requirements.
The most devoted core periodicals in library and information science (LIS) have
been found out and listed according to productivity. The half life of LIS literature
is found to be 8 and 12 years for journals and books respectively.
The study reveals that library professionals most frequently refer to the journals in which
they write.
