Title: Spectroscopic studies on triply ionised Sm in fluorophosphate glasses
Authors: Sharma, Brajesh; Rai, S B; Rai, D K; Buddhudu, S

induced fluorescence spectrum has been studied for triply ionised Sm doped in a
series of new fluorophosphates glasses The chemical composition of these glasses(
in mol percent) is 55% (NaPO3)6, 19% BaF2, 5%
ZnF2, 20% AF and 1% SmF3, where AF=LiF, NaF, KF, LiF+NaF,
NaF + KF and KF + LiF. The measured oscillator strengths have been used to
evaluate the Judd-Ofelt intensity parameters and radiative properties. The
stimulated emission cross-sections for the following four transition 4G5/2
→6H5/2,7/2,9/2,11/2 has been estimated.</span>

Abstract: <span style="font-size:11.0pt;line-height:115%;
font-family:" calibri","sans-serif";mso-ascii-theme-font:minor-latin;mso-fareast-font-family:="" "times="" new="" roman";mso-fareast-theme-font:minor-fareast;mso-hansi-theme-font:="" minor-latin;mso-bidi-font-family:arial;mso-ansi-language:en-us;mso-fareast-language:="" en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="">The thermal conductivity of V<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>-P<sub>2</sub>O<sub>5</sub>
glass system has been experimentally determined in the temperature range
303-422 K. The data covered the glass composition range from 60 to 80 mol% of V2O5.
It has been observed that the thermal conductivity increases linearly with
temperature. The results obtained confirmed that the major contribution to the
thermal conductivity of this glass system is due to lattice vibrations. The
values of density, molar volume, lattice thermal conductivity (λL)
band gap energy, melting temperature, electronic (λe) and bipolar
component of thermal conductivity (λbp) are also reported.</span>

surveillance and calibration of similar standard resistors taken in group, at
laboratories ranked next to the national level laboratories, based on
calculation of eigen values and eigen vector of the measurement data matrix.
The technique employs the various cross-products of measurement ratio data and
provides a new mean of group calibration.</span>

Title: On the characterisation of ultrasonic response curves for joint strength correlation

searching for a single parameter in terms of which transducer response for
different bond strength can be distinguished. Validity of the application of
such a parameter is examined by computing its percentage variation for two
different strength of each of two adhesives used for joint formation. Computed
values of transducer (electrical) parameters in this process agree with the corresponding
measured values.</span>
