tester new equipment developed by the Ahmadabad Textile Industry's Research
Association has been compared with that of Stoll's quarter master abrasion tester.
The results obtained show that the former measures abrasion resistance at a
fasters peed and with greater accuracy and reproducibility compared to the
latter. Several cotton fabrics of different weaves counts, constructions finishes
applied on, etc. are compared. The principles on which the tester is based and the
operating procedures are described.</span>

jute fibres. The results indicate that blends of both types of jute with 'C'
grade wool in 30 : 70 proportion can be utilized for making carpets, blankets
and furnishing fabrics.</span>
