    <title>Radiation from a V-shaped Antenna Array</title>
    <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/37677</link>
    <description>Title: Radiation from a V-shaped Antenna Array
Authors: Dey, K. K.; Basu, D.
Abstract: A theoretical analysis of the radiation pattern from a plane V-shaped antenna array of &lt;i&gt;n &lt;/i&gt; discrete radiators is presented. The lines of the radiators form the two arms with an apex angle ɑ. The horizontal and the vertical radiation patterns have been investigated for ɑ=ᴨ/2 when the phase difference between the successive excitations is 0 and ᴨ. The resulting radiation patterns have been plotted and discussed.

<title>Geomagnetic Crochets Associated with Proton Flares</title>

<description>Title: Geomagnetic Crochets Associated with Proton Flares
Authors: Sastri, J. Hanumath; Murthy, B. Suryanarayana; Karunakaran, D.
Abstract: Magnetogram data of Kodaikanal for a 13-yr period from 1957 to 1969 have been examined for sfes (Crochets) associated with proton flares (PCA events). A study of these indicated that they are characterized by longer rise time and total duration, compared to those associated with normal flares. It is inferred from the range of values of ɑ N that the region of enhanced conductivity is in the D region, below the normal electrojet.

<title>Effect of Wind &amp; Finite Exposure in Photographic Determination of Effective Radius of Luminescent Vapour Clouds Released in the Upper Atmosphere</title>
    <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/37672</link>
<description>Title: Effect of Wind &amp; Finite Exposure in Photographic Determination of Effective Radius of Luminescent Vapour Clouds Released in the Upper Atmosphere
Authors: Narayanan, M. S.; Desai, J. N.; Bhavsar, P. D.
Abstract: Determination of diffusion coefficient in the upper atmosphere requires accurate measurement of increase in the half-width radius of luminescent vapour cloud with time; and usually, the half• widths are obtained by photographic photometry. Effect of wind motion and finite exposure time has to be corrected for. Exact form of this correction is derived and discussed. It is concluded that the required correction to the half-width radius is small for velocities up to 100 m/sec and exposure time of 10 sec or less.
