Thin film – Organic light emitting diode: efficiency and its applications

Title: Thin film – Organic light emitting diode: efficiency and its applications
Authors: Sharma, Jitendra Kumar; Tiwari, Sanjay; Jogi, Vivek Kant
Abstract: Efficiency
is an important factor of any device. Efficiency is a key issue not only for
energy consumption, but also for its effect on the

longevity
of the device, since the ability to operate the device at a lower input power
at a given luminance decreases ohmic heating and

increases
the device lifetime. In this research paper we have taken the basic factors
that has been used to calculate the efficiency of Organic

Light Emitting Diode around 5%. The
efficiency of this device can be increased by using different new techniques in
those factors.

Protoplast formation and regeneration of Acetobacter pasteurianum NCIM 2314

Title: Protoplast formation and regeneration of Acetobacter pasteurianum NCIM 2314
Authors: Singhvi, Mamta; Joshi, Dipti; Gokhale, D V
Abstract: Method for production and regeneration of <i>Acetobacter
pasteurianum </i>NCIM 2314 protoplasts are described. The protoplasts were

obtained by treatment with lysozyme in protoplast
buffer at pH 8.0 with different osmotic stabilizers. The protoplasts were
regenerated

on Acetobacter medium with various osmotic stabilizers.
Maximum protoplasts formation was obtained in protoplasts buffer with NaC1

as an osmotic stabilizer using lysozyme (0.5mg/mL).
Maximum protoplast regeneation was obtained on Acetobacter medium with NaCl

(0.5M) as an osmotic stabilizer. The regeneration
medium was also applicable to other species of Acetobactor as well. This is, to
our

knowledge, the first report on
protoplast formation and efficient regeneration in case of <i>Acetobacter
pasteurianum.</i>

Title: Structural and dielectric studies of [PVA –LiAc] : TiO2 polymer nano-composite system
Authors: Tripathi, Mridula; Trivedi, Shivangi; Upadhyay, Rubi; Pandey, N D; Pandey, K
Abstract: An attempt has been made in the present work to prepare
Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) based proton conducting gel electrolyte that
characterizes

them. Nano composite polymer electrolyte consisting of
Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA), Lithium acetate with TiO2 filler, is
synthesized by the

combination of solution cast technique and sol-gel
process. Electrically conducting polymer have been most widely accomplished
using

chemical and electrochemical processing techniques. The
composite electrolyte films were characterized by different experimental
techniques.

The average particle sizes of composite electrolytes
were in between 20-30 nm and this system is essentially ionic with maximum
conductivity

of polymer electrolyte
90[80PVA-20LiAc]:10TiO2 is [~4.5x10-6 S/cm] at room temperature.

Long period fibre grating and its application in the form of glucose sensorial

Title: Long period fibre grating and its application in the form of glucose sensorial
Authors: Tewari, Umesh
Abstract: Detection of glucose is carried out by glucose oxidase coated long period fiber grating (LPG) sensor. The coating of enzyme has been achieved through covalent bonding using APTES. Functionalilzed fiber surface poduced measurable shift in resonance wavelength of LPG upon reaction with glucose, which is correlated with changes in the solution refractive index.
