Abstract: The wind profiles from surface to a height 10km were generated four times daily for seven days over Sriharikota and the data were analyzed by the technique of analysis of variance. There is no significant variation in the upper winds during the day except in the planetary boundary layer and at 5-6 km levels.

Abstract: Simple correlation analysis is done to show that the atmospheric electric field at a land station exhibits some response to the atmospheric electric field variations occurring over oceans, It is found that the variation in the potential gradient (PG) at a land station is due to both the change in the conductivity of the station and the PG over the oceans.

Abstract: Results of simultaneous observation of spread-F irregularities on vertical and oblique incidence are presented, The vertical  incidence data relate to Kakinada while the oblique incidence data relate to CW transmissions recorded from All India Radio,  Hyderabad, at 4.8 MHz during 1800-2230hrs 1ST.Comparison of these data revealed that in a majority of the cases, there is no  time delay in the spread-F occurrences on vertical and oblique incidence data indicating that the agency causing spread-F irregularities has an extent greater than 200 km in the east-west plane.
