Abstract: Dyes are one the foremost hazardous pollutants that affects bio life including the flora and fauna and removing of those&#xD;
pollutants from contaminated environment are remarkable activities within the scientific community. In this respect, the current&#xD;
study is focused on preparation of physiochemical activated cereals based tella residue bio adsorbent for basic blue dye (MB)&#xD;
removal from aqueous environment. Different analytical methods have been utilized to assess the thermal stability, surface area,&#xD;
surface morphology, pore size, pore volume, surface functional group, and a few proximate analyses of the prepared bio&#xD;
adsorbents. The SEM and BET results of the adsorbents reveals physiochemical activation process assists for the formation of&#xD;
visible pores, cracks, irregular shape, and better surface area (51.32 m2/g for RTR and 565m2/g for ATR) respectively. The&#xD;
removal efficiencies of MB by RTR and ATR in an exceedingly batch experiment were 88.4s and 97.2 % at situation of pH (8);&#xD;
adsorbent dosage (0.8 for RTR and 0.6 for ATR), agitation speed (300 rpm), dye concentration (10 mg/L), temperature (298oK)&#xD;
and contact time (100 minute) respectively. The kinetics and equilibrium result of dye adsorption process well described by&#xD;
Pseudo 2nd order kinetic and Langmuir isotherm model respectively. The thermodynamic finding result shows the spontaneous&#xD;
and endothermic nature of the sorption process. The probable adsorption mechanism of MB dye on the prepared bio adsorbents&#xD;
surface may be assigned mainly through chemisorption. The results of this study show, the current adsorbents promise an&#xD;
alternate green rout for treatment dye contaminated wastewaters.

      <description>Title: Equilibrium, kinetic and thermodynamic study for the efficient removal of malachite green dye onto untreated Morus nigra L. (mulberry tree) leaves powder and its biochar
Authors: Khan, Fairooz Ahmad; Farooqui, Mazahar
Abstract: In the present investigation the removal of malachite green (MG) dye from its aqueous solution by batch mode adsorption study onto mulberry leaves powder (MLP) and mulberry leaves biochar (MLB) has been proved to be efficient with removal percentage more than 95 % at 0.3 gm dose in 35.8 mg/L (20 ml) MG dye solution for 35 minutes. In this batch mode adsorption study various parameters like contact time, effect of dose, concentration, temperature and pH have been studied to investigate the effect of such parameters on MG dye adsorption process onto mentioned adsorbents. Among three commonly used isotherms (Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin), Freundlich isotherm model is best fit model with R2 = 0.99. The kinetic study reveals that pseudo-second-order kinetic model is best followed having also R2 = 0.99. Thermodynamically, the adsorption process of MG dye onto MLP is endothermic, exothermic onto MLB, and spontaneous in nature. Accordingly, the results obtained have shown that the adsorbents (MLP and MLB) can be used as low cost, rapid, and effective adsorbents for the removal of malachite green dye from its aqueous solution, thus also from wastewater.

      <title>Study of the thermal behaviour of a derivative based on a zirconium agent (modified montmorillonite) and determination of the physical characteristics</title>
      <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/61562</link>
      <description>Title: Study of the thermal behaviour of a derivative based on a zirconium agent (modified montmorillonite) and determination of the physical characteristics
Authors: Khiati, Zoulikha; Mrah, Lahouari
Abstract: In this research, untreated Algerian maghnite has been used to develop two types of modified clays: the first one is a&#xD;
homo-ionic sodium clay (Na-Mag) which is a support to develop a montmorillonite by insertion of zirconium hydroxyl&#xD;
cations. The different series of techniques, including thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential thermal analysis&#xD;
(DTA), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and zeta potential (ζ), have been used to define the physical characteristics of the&#xD;
clays by studying their particle size distribution as well as the thermal profile. In addition, the pillar-shaped montmorillonite&#xD;
(Maghnite) exhibit a negative charge even when its pH reach 2.8. This large negative surface charge of montmorillonite&#xD;
suggests optimal removal of organic molecule particles present in the aqueous medium. The results obtained by Fourier&#xD;
transform infrared (FT-IR) analysis show that the bands characterizing the presence of intercalating agents are visible.&#xD;
Thermography of the zirconium pillar species shows an improvement in the thermal stability of the silicate structure with&#xD;
two well differentiated zones. Adsorbed organic cations result in a reduction of the surface load, that is, a decrease of its&#xD;
negativity, as well as a cancellation of the charge.

      <title>A case study on expired drugs: The potential corrosion inhibitory activity of expired labetalol drug in 1M HCl for plain carbon steel</title>
      <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/61561</link>
      <description>Title: A case study on expired drugs: The potential corrosion inhibitory activity of expired labetalol drug in 1M HCl for plain carbon steel
Authors: Gunasekaran, M; Srinivasan, P; Zulfareen, N; Venugopal, T
Abstract: In this work expired drug namely, labetalol has been used as a corrosion inhibitor in a stirred acidic medium (1M HCl)&#xD;
with mass loss measurement and electro analytical techniques. . The efficiency of the inhibitor increases as the temperature&#xD;
increases from 30-60°C. The results reveal that maximum inhibition efficiency is observed as 91.66% for 500 ppm.&#xD;
Potentiodynamic polarization measurement implies that it perform as a mixed type inhibitor. FT-IR analysis prove that&#xD;
corrosion product is formed on the mild steel surface. When compared with metal in IM HCl, it includes a shielding layer on&#xD;
the surface of mild steel by controlling further attack of acid. SEM and SFM surface morphology study have also been&#xD;
performed to confirm the effect of labetalol on metal. In addition to that, DFT is also carried out to analyse HOMO, LUMO,&#xD;
ΔE and Mulliken charges
