      <description>Title: Formulation and Evaluation of Ready-to-Reconstitute Smoothie Mix with Little Millet
Authors: Neeharika, B; Suneetha W, Jessie
Abstract: The urbanization, fast-paced lifestyle, improved income and globetrotting have spurred the adoption of convenience foods in India. Value addition to millets promotes their production, marketing and offers good opportunities to farmers for better income generation. Little millet is an indigenous nutricereal widely cultivated across India yet underutilised and often misquoted as poor man’s crop. Till date not much research was done to develop a nourishing millet based smoothie mix. In the present investigation, a ready-to-reconstitute smoothie mix was developed with the most organoleptically acceptable formulation being 45% malted-pre-gelatinized little millet flour, 45% milk powder and 10% sugar. The developed mix possessed a good amount of protein (12.89 g/100 g) and exhibited improved dispersibility (88.97%), reduced sediment content (2.95 mL/10 mL) and reconstitution time (81.82 sec) compared to control. It can be readily reconstituted with fruit juices or pulps to prepare smoothies, which could serve as a healthy addition to one’s daily diet. The mix was shelf-stable upto 45 days without much deterioration in physicochemical and microbial quality. The lower moisture content (4.81%) and water activity (0.48) indicate good shelf-stability of the developed mix. The developed smoothie mix could enhance the utilization of little millets, locally available seasonal fruits and promote dietary diversification.

      <title>Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. sativus) Seed Planter Parameters Optimization using Response Surface Methodology</title>
      <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/63859</link>
      <description>Title: Radish (Raphanus raphanistrum subsp. sativus) Seed Planter Parameters Optimization using Response Surface Methodology
Authors: Patel, S K; Bhimani, J B; Yaduvanshi, B K; Gupta, P
Abstract: Precision sowing of a seed by a planter requires seed singulation by metering device and placement of that in soil.&#xD;
Pneumatic planters are more popular among precision planters due to their obvious advantages. Design and operating&#xD;
parameters of pneumatic planter needs to be optimized for getting the desired performance from the planter. A picking type&#xD;
pneumatic metering mechanism was developed at CAET, AAU, Godhra, Gujarat, India. Response Surface Methodology&#xD;
(RSM), a useful optimization technique, was used to optimized the operational parameters viz. forward speed &amp;&#xD;
vacuum pressure and design parameter-nozzle hole diameter of developed planter for radish. Experiments were planned&#xD;
using Central Composite Design (CCD) and conducted in laboratory conditions for radish seeds. The independent&#xD;
parameters chosen for the study were forward speed (0.14, 0.22, 0.33, 0.44 and 0.51 m/s), vacuum pressure (19.33, 29.32,&#xD;
43.98, 58.64 and 68.63 kN/m2) and nozzle hole diameter (0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 1.25 and 1.50 mm) each with 5 levels. The effect&#xD;
of independent parameters was observed by assessing the miss index, multiple index, quality of feed index, and precision.&#xD;
The parameters under study were optimized based on values of miss index, multi index, quality feed index and precision in&#xD;
spacing. It was found that among different variables nozzle hole diameter was most dominating. The optimum values&#xD;
obtained for developed pneumatic planter were 0.23 m/s, 54.15 kN/m2 and 1.00 mm for forward speed, vacuum pressure,&#xD;
and nozzle hole diameter, respectively for radish seeds. The study can be utilized for getting the optimum performance of&#xD;
planter for different crops, which will not only help in precisely sowing of seeds, but also result in seed saving.

      <description>Title: Reinvigorating Human Resource Management through Cloud Computing: A Systematic Review of Literature and Bibliometric Perspective
Authors: Joshi, Meha
Abstract: The landscape of elastic infrastructure of IT is reshaped by Cloud Computing, a transformative technology. Widely&#xD;
discussed across global enterprises, this study delves into the research contributions within the areas of Human Resource&#xD;
Management (HRM) from the period 2013–2023, offering a systematic review of literature to pinpoint existing gap areas&#xD;
and chart future research directions. The present research sourced the data from Web of science database and employs the&#xD;
keywords such as “Cloud computing” and HRM'' and primarily focused on the final articles published in journals. Various&#xD;
bibliometric parameters including the yearly distribution of the papers, status of articles and publication counts are&#xD;
encompassed in the research paper. Utilizing VOS viewer, co-occurrence maps of author keywords/terms, citation analysis,&#xD;
and bibliographic coupling were conducted. Moreover, the paper outlines forthcoming research agendas in this domain.&#xD;
Beyond merely identifying gaps in Cloud Computing literature, this study also examines managerial trends and interests,&#xD;
evaluating the potential benefits of cloud computing in HRM. The findings endeavor to assist management in integrating&#xD;
cloud computing into HR departments, enhancing decision-making processes. Consequently, these insights could serve as a&#xD;
blueprint for global managers and policymakers, particularly in the realm of information management, bolstering&#xD;
organizational competitive advantages through cloud computing adoption in HRM.

      <title>Do Bank Characteristics Really Matter for its Environmental Reporting?</title>
      <link>http://nopr.niscpr.res.in/handle/123456789/63857</link>
      <description>Title: Do Bank Characteristics Really Matter for its Environmental Reporting?
Authors: S Pawar, Deepthi; Munuswamy, Jothi
Abstract: The last few decades have seen an increasing number of researches in the area of environmental reporting. Institutions across the globe have been extensively reporting their environmental initiatives through their annual reports. There is a dearth of research on environmental reporting in the Indian context. Thus, this study comprehensively analyzes the environmental reporting practices of scheduled banks in India. It further attempts to explore the association between environmental reporting and bank characteristics. The secondary data is collected from the annual reports, sustainability reports, and business responsibility reports for the period 2017–2022. The sample consists of ten top-rated commercial banks chosen based on market capitalization during June 2022. The content analysis technique is used to extract information on environmental practices under twelve major categories. This study employs correlation analysis to examine the association between environmental reporting and bank characteristics. The findings of this study reveal that Indian commercial banks are increasingly reporting environmental information in their bank reports and websites. Further, the results of correlation analysis revealed a significant association between environmental reporting and the banks’ age, size, and profitability. Further, this study recommends policymakers and concerned professional bodies introduce additional environmental guidelines and widen the scope of reporting in the banking industry.
