Abstract: The present work deals with the development of optimized design of composite underwater enclosure using response surface methodology (RSM), the box-like shape of enclosure was proposed by using E-glass (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) FRP composite materials. The utilization of finite element analysis was more acceptable instead of experimental approach. The number of FEA simulation was simplified by using design of experiment (DOE) technique. A polynomial mathematical model, in term of enclosure shell thickness and pressure for the factors; stress and deflection for the response correlations was represented. As a result, all the factors indicate significantly affecting the optimization and the design process of the underwater enclosure.
