| Abstract: | THE Sundarban delta has always been under attack by major climateincidences, mainly super cyclones.From the month of April, almost every yearNor’westers, locally known as ‘Kalbaishakhi’,is a common feature. During this period,the wind changes its direction from being ‘from the East’ to ‘from the South’ and in almost every week in the afternoon wind speed increases and followed by thunder storms, rain and sometime hail storms. |
