Micropropagated plantlets of Boswellia serrata Roxb. were biotized using an endophytic root fungus Piriformospora indica during hardening and acclimatization. Inoculation of micropropagated plantlets of B. serrata with P. indica was found beneficial both in term of overall growth and ex vitro survival of plantlets. The fungus colonized 70% of plantlets and about 75% of such plantlets showed ex vitro survival. Significant increase in root growth, biomass and total chlorophyll contents in colonized plantlets was recorded. The study demonstrated the potential of P. indica as a biopriming agent for achieving better growth and ex vitro survival of planlets. en_US
