| Abstract: | A Simple inexpensive colorimetric assay system for SOD is reported. The method involves generation of superoxide radical by photoreduction of riboflavin and its detection by nitrite formation from hydroxylamine hydrochloride at 543 nm. The method is more sensitive than the NBT method and less sensitive than the NADH method. |
