Abstract: Measurements of ultrasonic speeds, u, of nitrobenzene (i) +benzene, or + toluene, or + o-, or + p-xylene(j) binary mixtures have been carried out at 298.15K over the entire composition range. The observed data have been utilized to calclulate the isentropic compressibilities, Ks and excess isentropic compossibilities, (K). The   K values for these mixtures have also been evaluated from Flory theory. It has been observed that K values predicted by Flory theory make a reasonably good agreement with their corresponding experimental values.
