| Abstract: | The stability constants of silver perchlorate complex with 18- crown-6, dibenzo-18-crown-6, in N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP), cryptands 21 and 22 in methanol and NMP and of cryptand 222 in various methanol+NMP mixtures have been determined potentiometrically at 30°C. The stability constants are found- to be higher in methanol than in NMP or in mixtures of methanol+NMP. The cryptate assumption is found to be satisfactory for the evaluation of Gibbs transfer energies of silver ion in methanol+NMP mixtures with cryptand 222. |
