| Abstract: | The accessibility of alkali treated coir fibre has been studied using differential scanning calorimetry and infrared spectroscopy. The lattice transformation in ligno-cellulosic coir fibre is restricted. The crystallinity of the fibre decreases with the increase in NaOH concentration .These studies appear to support the three phase model. |
