| Abstract: | The roots of Malva parvflora yield a new stigmastane derivative
along with 3-methyl-triacontane and 5 -stigmast-9(11)-en-3β-ol. The
structure of the sterol has been elucidated as 5-stigmast-9(11)-en-3-one by
spectral analysis and chemical
reactions. |
