With a view to evaluate the immunostimulant activity of milk oligosaccharides; three disaccharides related to human milk were synthesised by trichloroacetimidate method using the suitably blocked D-glucosyl acceptors. L-Fucose and D-galactose sugars were used as active donors for the synthesis of the required disaccharides. The structures of the synthetic disaccharides were confirmed by physico-chemical techniques.en_US
