dc.description.abstractPhytochemical investigation of the whole plants of Artemisia arenaria affords one new eudesmane sesquiterpene, eudesm-5-ene-1β, 4-diol 1 and ten known compounds, -amyrin 2,  β-amyrin 3, β-sitosterol 4, 4-hydroxyacetophenone 5, 5, 7-dihydroxy-4'-methoxyflavanone 6, 5-hydroxy-7, 4'-dimethoxyflavanone 7, 5, 6, 3'-trimethoxyflavanone 8, 5-hydroxy-7, 4'-dimethoxyflavone 9, 5-hydroxy-6, 7, 4'-trimcthoxyflavanone 10 and stigmasterol 11. Their structures have been elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods.en_US
