| Abstract: | A new triterpenoid glycoside, 3-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl
(1→3)- -L-rhamnopyranosyl (1→2)--L-arabinopyranosyl hederagenin 28-O-β-D-xylopyranosyl
(1→4)-β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→6)-β-D-oglucopyranoside
1, named decaisoside F, has been
isolated from the seeds of Decaisnea fargesii along with two known compounds,
decaisnea D 2 and decaisoside E 3. Their structures have been
elucidated on basis of chemical methods and spectral data (FABMS, 1H
NMR, 13C NMR, DEPT and COSY).
