dc.description.abstractAn isoflavan and a pentacyclic triterpene have been isolated from the chloroform extract of Tephrosia strigosa, and identified as 7-hydroxy-2'-methoxy-4 ',5 '-methylene-dioxyisoflavan (astraciceran) 1 and oleanolic acid 2. This is the first report of the occurrence of an isoflavan compound in the genus Tephrosia.en_US
