The reaction of IPy2BF4 with anilines give the corresponding 2-iodoanilines regioselectively in high yields. N-Allyl-2-iodoanilines undergo cyclization to give 5- and 5,7-substituted indole derivatives in the presence or palladium catalysts and bases. The procedure do not require protective groups on nitrogen.en_US
