| Abstract: | From the stem bark of Oroxylum four new pterocarpans, namely methyl oroxylopterocarpan 1, undecanyl oroxylopterocarpan 2, hexyl oroxylopterocarpan 3, and heptyl oroxylopterocarpan 4, have been isolated and characterized as 2', 3'-dihydro-2',2'-dimethyl-2,3-furanylpterocarpan; 2',3'-dihydro-2'-methyl-2'-undecanyl-2,3-furanyl-8-hydroxypterocarpan; 2',3'dihydro-2'-methyl-2'-undercanyl-2,3-furanyl-8-hydroxypterocarpan and 2',3'- dihydro-2'- hexyl-2,3-furanyl-8- hydroxypterocarpan on the basis of spectral data and chemical analysis. |
