| Abstract: | 8-Geranyl-5,7-dihydroxyflavanone, a geranylflavanone natural product isolated from Helichrysum hypocephalum, has been synthesized in racemic form for the first time from in six steps including geranylation, hydroxyl protection, condensation, cyclization and deprotection, starting from 2,4,6- trihydroxyacetophenone and benzaldehyde. |
