| Abstract: | The reaction of ω-(4-aryl-1-piperizinyl)ethyl/propyl amine with 3-hydroxyphthalide furnishes the title compounds along with minor amounts of the corresponding N-[ω-(4-aryl-1-piperazinyl) ethyl/propyl]-2-formylbenzamides. |
