Abstract: ASSR paper bears high degree of resistance to alkali used in the wrapping and packing of alkaline materials such as, soaps, and adhesives. Important characteristics of ARSR paper include freedom from discoloration with mild alkali present in the soap case and resistance to the growth of fungi. The product goes through two principal steps namely transportation and distribution. Mechanical strengths like, bursting and tearing strength are essentially required for handling of product and protecting the product from damage. In this study, eucalyptus, bamboo and sawmill waste of pine are used to develop ARSR paper, which fulfils the specifications, prescribed by BIS.
