Abstract: The nutritional value of the co-products produced during the manufacture of starch from maize by the wet milling process is described. The use of these co-products in the feed industry is described. The wet milling industry produces 170,000 MT (dry substance basis) of these products per annum. The expected growth of the wet milling industry due to the increased demand for starch by user industries will only succeed if the feed industry recognises the value of the co-products.
