| Abstract: | The compound (Ph3SnSN4C13H11) has been prepared by the reaction of triphenyltin chloride with diphenylthiocarbazone in sodium alcoholic. Its structure has been determined with IR ,1H NMR and X-ray crystallography. It crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group P-1, a=8.608(2) Å, b= 11.991 (3) Å, c= 13.760(3)Å, α=98.912(3) o, β=94.961 (4) o , γ=94.086(4) o, Z=2, V= 1392.7 (6) Å3, Dc= 1.443 g/cm3 , μ =1.019 mm-1 , F(000)=612, R1=0.0639,wR2=0.0593. The central Sn atom is distorted trigonal bipyramicl. |
