| Abstract: | Cerium(III) has been extracted from aqueous H2SO4 medium by α-αʹ dipyridyl. The effects of neutral donors like tri-alkyl phosphine oxides and long chain amines on this extraction system are reported. The method has been used to determine the cerium content in ore samples. |
