The developments in warp let-off motions have been reviewed in brief and the main causes of warp tension variations in weaving and warp knitting have been examined. Further, the development of a hybrid type warp let-off system to be used on both warp knitting and weaving machines has been described with regard to its design and performance and some recent research with on-line computer-controlled warp let-off and fabric take-up in weaving is reported.en_US
