The surface parameters, maximum surface excess, ,minimum area per molecule, surface pressure for linear alkyl benzene sulphonate and sodium lauryl sulphate in water have been calculated along with thermodynamic parameters from surface tension measurements. Micelli zation is favored both by energy effects as well as by entropy gain. The increase in critical mi celle concentration with increase in temperature corresponds to the high symmetry of the system.en_US
