| dc.description.abstract | Hydrothermal reaction of Cu(OAc)2H2O with pyridine-2,6-dicarboxyk acid (dipicH2) and 4,4'-bipyridine (4,4'-bipy) afforded an inorganic-organic hybrid material with an empirical formula, C24 H18 O10 N4 Cu2.2H2O (1). Single crystal X-ray structure determination shows that complex (1) crystallized in the triclinic space group P-1. The unit cell contains one and a half molecules of [{Cu(C7H3NO4)(H2O)}2 (C10H8N2)].2H2O (l). The crystal structure displays ribbons of (1) in which the 4,4'-bipy ligands are all nearly parallel. The binuclear molecules associate through hydrogen bonding and weak Cu·· ··O interactions. | en_US |
