Ultrasound speed and density of electrolytes CdCl2+ KCl have been measured in DMSO and H2O mixtures at 2 MHz from 25 to.45°C. Various derived parameters such as acoustic impedance, adiabatic compressibility and solvation number have been calculated. The results have been discussed in terms of the nature of electrolyte and solvent mixtures. Solvation number throws light on the solute-solute and solute-solvent interactions.en_US
