Abstract: Carbon hollow spheres with average diameter of 450-500 nm and thickness of 25 nm have been synthesized by a simple reaction of hexachlorobenzene with metal sodium at a low temperature of 400°C. Formation mechanism of the carbon hollow spheres is also discussed.
