| Abstract: | Global Positioning System is now being recognized as a sensitive tool for natural disaster risk and early warning applications such as continental deformation studies, meteorology, landslide hazard mapping, glacier dynamics and volcano deformation. With the recent launch of a dedicated navigation satellite, India will also soon upgrade its GPS-based services helping track hazards more effectively. |
