| dc.description.abstract | Divinyl benzene (DVB)-crosslinked polystyrene has been functionalised to introduce thiosemicarbazone ligand function. This Schiff base thiosemicarbazone ligand is used to prepare chelates of Fe(III), Co(II), Ni (II), Cu(II) and Zn(II).The factors influencing metal complexation like temperature, pH, influence of solvent etc are examined. The polymeric metal complexes are well characterised by spectral techniques and assigned a proper geometry on the basis of analytical, magnetic measurement and spectral data. | en_US |
