| Abstract: | Synthesis and characterization of eleven new transition metal [Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II)] complexes of 4-pyridylthioacetic acid and 2-pyrimidylthioacetic acid are reported. Since the thioacatic acids are bio-molecules which are known to produce organotin biocides, the new compounds are also expected to show biocidal properties. |
