| Abstract: | Reaction of 1-(8'-amino-α-naphthyl)-4-(8'-amino-α-naphthylamine)-1-azabuta-1,3-diene, nitroethane and formaldehyde in presence of a copper(II) template yields CuII(L)ClO4 from which the free tetraaza macrocycle LH (H:dissociable proton) having two fused naphthalene rings is isolated by demetallation by aqueous ammonia as a monohydrate. |
