dc.description.abstractA newly synthesized water-soluble heterocyclic azo dye, 2-(4,6-dimethyl-2-pyrimidylazo)-1-naphthol-4-sulphonate sodium salt reacts with zinc, cadmium, mercury, iron, cobalt, nickel and copper to give highly sensitive co lour reactions which can be monitored spectrophotometrically. Optical constants for the metal complexes have been determined.en_US
