| Abstract: | A new ligand N-benzoyl-N'-2-furanthiocarbohydrazide (H2Bfth) formed 1:1 deprotonated complexes with Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) while 1:2 deprotonated complexes with Mn(II), Fe(II) and Cd(II). The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, and UV-vis, IR, ESR. NMR (1H and 13C), mass/FAB mass and Mossbauer spectral studies. The biological activity have been screened against several bacteria and fungi. |
