| Abstract: | A few complexes [Mn(SBth)(H2O)2], (Me4N)[Pd(HSBth)Cl2] ,[M(HSBth)(SBth)] [M(III)=Fe or Mn] and [M(SBth)(acac)] [M(III)=Co or Cr)] have been prepared from a potential tetradentate ligand, N-salicyloyl-N' -thiobenzhydrazide (H2SBth).The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, UV-Vis, IR and NMR studies. H2SBth and its complexes have shown remarkable in vitro antitumour activity against P-815 (murine mastocytoma) tumour cells. |
