Enantioselective deacetylation reactions on 5-acetoxymethyl- and 5-acetoxy-3-aryl-2-phenyli soxazolidines using Candida rugosa lipase (CRL) are described.Varying degrees of enantioselectivity have been observed depending on the nature of the 3-aryl group. These compounds have also been evaluated for their anti oxidant and antimycobacterial activities.en_US
