| Abstract: | Ylidenemalononitriles 1 react with a variety of 1,3-diaryl-2-propen-1-ones 2 at ambient temperature and pressure under microwave activation to yield functionalised cyclohexanedicarbonitriles 3 and 2-aminoisophthalonitriles 4 in good yields. |
