| Abstract: | A new series of 2'-hydroxychalcones has been synthesised. They have been characterised by physical and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR and MS). All these chalcones have been tested for antibacterial activity. Their ability to inhibit different plant pathogens and animal pathogens is assessed.Except few, all the chalcones displayed antibacterial activity to a remarkable extent. |
