| Abstract: | Two saponins have been isolated from the stem of Calotropis procera and their structures established as 3-O-{α-L- rhamnopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-xylopyranosyl(1→2)-β-D-glucopy ranosyl(1→6)-β-D-glcopyranosyl (1→3)-β-D-glucopyranoside}-3β-hydroxy olean- 12-ene-oic acid 1 and 3β-hydroxy olean-12-ene-28-oic acid-28-O-β-D-glucopyranoside 2 on the basis of chemical and spectral evidences. |
